Preparatory meeting for Cibelae 2024 Conference
In parallel to the event, the executive director of Cibelae, Rodrigo Cigliutti, held a meeting with Luca Esposito, general secretary of ULIS; and Nicolás Saydé, director of the Macolin Secretariat (Manipulation of Sports Competitions) of the Council of Europe. The meeting was aimed at planning the Cibelae 2024 Conference, which will take place next April in Buenos Aires. The main topic of these conferences will be the development of the Latin American sports betting market, a key aspect in the gaming industry in the region.
Likewise, a meeting was held with Javier Reséndiz García, deputy general director of New Business, Marketing and Advertising of the National Lottery of Mexico, who attended the Marketing Seminar organized by the World Lottery Association and European Lotteries. This edition of the seminar, focused on Digital Marketing, is offering important learning and networking opportunities for professionals in the sector.
International regulators: Latin American table
Members of Cibelae have had a notable participation in the round table on regulation in Latin America, where relevant topics were discussed with the presence of distinguished Latin American speakers. Among them were Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes, GLI vice president for Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain; and Agustín Li Gambi, president of the Legal Affairs Commission of the Argentine Association of Lotteries, Quinielas and Casinos (ALEA); who accompanied other relevant speakers, such as Miguel Ángel Ochoa Sánchez, president of the Association of Permit Holders, Operators and Suppliers of the Entertainment and Gaming Industry in Mexico (AIEJA); Cecilia Valdés, president of the Chilean Association of Gaming Casinos; and Eduardo Alfonso Sevilla Echevarría, general director of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru (Mincetur).
