Coljuegos has transferred $3,6 billion to healthcare since 2022, highlights Marco Emilio Hincapié at GAT Expo 2026

During GAT Expo 2026, the president of Coljuegos, Marco Emilio Hincapié, reported that, since 2022, the entity has transferred a total of $3.6 billion to the subsidized health regime, which corresponds to 41.84% of the total resources generated by the sector since 2012.

"Never before have games of luck and chance gone through a better time. It has been thanks to our efforts in terms of dynamization and regulation that we have managed to transfer in three years almost half of the resources that the sector has generated in its entire history," said Hincapié.

According to the official, in 2025 alone, $1.1 billion was transferred in monopoly revenues, resources that made it possible to provide subsidized medical care to about 836,000 low-income Colombians.

"To this figure, we must add the nearly $1.3 billion that the 14 online gaming operators contributed in VAT. With these resources, the National Government managed to advance peace and reconciliation programs in the Catatumbo region," said the president.

And he added: "All this was possible due to our tireless fight against illegality, because never in the history of Coljuegos had an administration hit so hard the mafias that operate games without authorization."

In this regard, the president highlighted the seizure of 8,113 illegal items in 234 operations carried out in 20 departments; in addition to the destruction of 12,833 slot machines, bingo halls, online betting modules, among other elements that were used without authorization.

"Since online betting came into operation in 2017, Coljuegos issued 41,884 blocking orders against illegal websites. However, of that total, 32,463 correspond to requests sent by this administration," Hincapie explained.

In the same way, the president of Coljuegos highlighted the efforts of the entity to expand the offer and dynamize the sector with games such as keno, raffles and VirtualSports Race Sets (ACDV).

"On April 1, the operation of Keno begins, a game that will contribute about $500,000 million additional to health over the next five years. In addition, we already have the technical annex of the raffles and the update of the ACDV ready. With all this, we hope to strengthen legality and provide more options for bettors."

It should be noted that this presentation was made during the inauguration of the GAT Expo Cartagena 2026, an event that brings together more than 100 exhibitors from the gaming sector from Europe, the USA, and the United States. USA and Europe.
