The Feria Internacional del Juego de Madrid, FIJMA, is the Spanish tradeshow par excellence, which has been held in Madrid for 31 consecutive years. It brings together the main companies, manufacturers and professionals in the sector. It took place in the IFEMA exhibition hall in Madrid from 7 to 9 May.
We had the opportunity to talk to Alexandra Guerrero, commercial director and one of the people in charge of the organisation, who gave a positive assessment of the event.
With regard to the objectives set for FIJMA 2024, the main one was to meet the expectations of exhibitors and visitors. However, according to Alexandra, the event not only met these expectations, but far exceeded them: “FIJMA 24 has far exceeded them and has become the best Fair in the History of Gaming in Spain, thanks to the very high level of the new Machine Models presented at the Show. In addition, there was a notable growth in the recreational and sports products, as well as in the ancillary industry, which contributed to a truly extraordinary balance of the event”.
As for the overall response from attendees and exhibitors, she described it as magnificent in both quantity and quality: “FIJMA 2024 was attended by more than 100 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors, who shared approximately 20,000 square meters of exhibition space”.
On how the trade fair adapted to the changing challenges and opportunities of the business environment, Alexandra mentioned that in this 2024 edition there were no substantial changes, however, she anticipates that they will probably have to make adjustments for the next edition in 2025.
Finally, she confirmed that the next edition, FIJMA 2025, is scheduled for the second week of May, which will allow those interested to mark the date in their calendars and prepare for another successful event.
