Following the hugely positive coming together of all sectors of the industry at Gaming Africa in 2017, last week ICE Africa has launched – the first occasion the ICE brand has been extended beyond its London home to host the first gaming event that brougth the whole African Gaming Continent together.
Kate Chambers, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, spoke about when Clarion started looking at Africa for a show: “We have been looking what was happening in ICE London and the increases in visitors that were coming to that event. There was an increase in South American visitors and we create Juegos Miami. And then we noticie that were a big jump in attendance of Africa. So, when you see that raise in attendance from a show it is an indication that things are starting to happened and move.”

“We started looking a potentially ICE Africa two years ago, but there is a process in creating an event like this, so we did a lot of research we the African attendees at ICE in London, we talk a lot with suppliers and manufacturers of gaming equipment, then we run a few test events. And then we said: ‘come on, let’s just do it, ” she said.
Following the hugely positive coming together of all sectors of the industry at ICE Africa 2018, they have immediately opened up pre-registration for ICE Africa 2019.
