Zitro is proud to announce that in all the headquarters where it controls energy management, it has carried out the relevant procedures to supply itself with 100% renewable energy, thus achieving neutrality in Scope 2 CO2 emissions, a key milestone in the company's ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments.
What are Scope 2 emissions?
Scope 2 emissions refer to indirect emissions generated by electricity purchased and consumed by an organization, and constitute one of the main vectors of environmental impact in the industrial sector.
This achievement means that the electricity consumption of all Zitro facilities in Spain is certified by Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) under the market-based method, the European standard that certifies that, for each kilowatt hour consumed, an equivalent kilowatt hour has been generated in the grid from renewable sources.
Zitro Factory thus joins Zitro Laboratory and Zitro Internacional as headquarters with 100% certified renewable energy, completing a milestone that covers the entire group in Spain.
With this advance, Zitro reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the gaming industry.
