305 Nevada casinos surpassed the $1 million revenue mark
The Nevada Gaming Control Board has released its "Nevada Gaming Abstract – 2025," offering a comprehensive financial overview of gaming licensees that generated at least $1 million in gaming revenue during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025.
According to the report, 305 casinos met that threshold in FY2025. Collectively, they reported net income of $1.70 billion from total revenues of $30.82 billion.
The report defines total revenue as patron spending across gaming operations, hotel rooms, food and beverage outlets, and other entertainment amenities. Net income represents the amount retained after operating expenses, excluding federal income taxes and extraordinary items.
Gaming represented 36.4% of total revenue
Gaming revenue totaled $11.22 billion, accounting for 36.4% of overall revenue generated by the state's major casinos.
During the same period, the 305 properties contributed $1.14 billion in gaming taxes and fees, equivalent to 10.2% of total gaming revenue.
Clark County continued to dominate Nevada's market
Clark County remained the engine of Nevada's gaming industry, with 177 casinos generating $27.82 billion in total revenue and $1.50 billion in combined net income.
Elsewhere across the state:
- Washoe County's 34 casinos posted $84.85 million in net income from $1.69 billion in total revenue.
- Elko County's 22 casinos generated $93.29 million in combined net income.

- The Carson Valley Area's 15 casinos recorded $24.30 million in net income.
- The remaining 50 casinos across Nevada earned $43.14 million in combined net income.
Public companies accounted for most gaming revenue
The report also highlighted the influence of publicly traded operators within the state's gaming sector.
In FY2025, 52 casinos owned by public companies generated 62.1% of Nevada's total gaming revenue, underscoring the significant role of large corporate operators in the market.
Beyond financial performance
In addition to consolidated balance sheets and income statements, the Nevada Gaming Abstract – 2025 includes operational metrics such as:
- Average number of employees;
- Hotel occupancy rates;
- Revenue earned per available room;
- Gaming revenue generated per square foot of casino floor space; and
- A range of industry performance ratios.
The publication also provides separate statewide analyses for casinos with hotel accommodations and properties owned by publicly held corporations, offering a broader perspective on the health and structure of Nevada's gaming industry.
