The latest figures reflect mixed performance across gaming segments, with electronic gaming devices offsetting part of the decline seen in table games. Slot machines and other electronic devices generated $32.5 million during the month, marking a 1% increase compared to December of the previous year. In contrast, table game revenue dropped sharply by 18%, falling to $4 million.
Among the four properties, Kansas Crossing Casino was the only venue to report annual growth. The casino posted $3.6 million in revenue, up 1.1% year-over-year. Its electronic gaming devices segment rose 1.8% to $3.3 million, while table games revenue declined 6.9% to $280,701.
Property Performance Shows Uneven Results
Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway remained the top-performing property in December, generating $14.7 million in revenue. However, this figure represented a 2.1% decrease compared to the same month in 2024. Both key segments declined, with electronic gaming devices slipping 0.2% and table games falling 17.6%.
Kansas Star Casino ranked second in revenue, reporting $14.4 million for the month, down 0.8% year-over-year. While electronic gaming devices increased 3.7% to $12.5 million, table games experienced a significant contraction of 23%, totaling $1.9 million.
Boot Hill Casino recorded the steepest annual decline among the four operators. Revenue fell 3.7% to $4 million, driven by a 3.9% decrease in electronic gaming devices revenue to $3.5 million and a 2.3% drop in table games to $507,774.
Overall, the December results highlight ongoing pressure on table games across Kansas casinos, even as electronic gaming devices continue to show resilience within the state’s regulated gaming market.
